Trump Calls out Online Censors Before His Social Media Summit

Today, the White House will hold a Social Media Summit to discuss the role of online platforms in our society. President Trump called out social networks for attacking conservative users. He took to Twitter to give them a serious warning.

It’s no secret that since Trump’s victory in 2016, social media networks have gotten vicious. Believing it was their platforms that got Trump elected, websites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube have begun attacking conservatives. They seem to think that conservatives using their websites spread “fake news” that helped Trump win.

I guess these Silicon Valley leftists weren’t watching the massive rallies Trump held across the country. Or even bothered to notice how passionate and fired-up regular Americans were to elect a man promising to make America great again.

Nope. I was all that “fake news” being spread by conservatives on Twitter. Give me a break.

Even though they’re wrong, the liberals that run your favorite social sites have been censoring, blocking, and outright banning popular conservatives on their platforms. Over the last two and a half years, we’ve watched as free speech withered away on these top social networks.

Today, if you are a funny, likeable, and outspoken Trump supporter, get ready for these sites to ban you. Even regular Americans who support the president and back his agenda are getting banned. All because the Democrats who run these sites fear our influence so much.

The president has noticed this trend. Which is why he organized a Social Media Summit. There, he and key members within the social media landscape will discuss the disturbing censorship trend happening online. Before the summit, he made a few warnings to social media on Twitter.

A big subject today at the White House Social Media Summit will be the tremendous dishonesty, bias, discrimination and suppression practiced by certain companies. We will not let them get away with it much longer. The Fake News Media will also be there, but for a limited period..

….The Fake News is not as important, or as powerful, as Social Media. They have lost tremendous credibility since that day in November, 2016, that I came down the escalator with the person who was to become your future First Lady…

Sorry to say that even Social Media would be driven out of business along with, and finally, the Fake News Media! [Source: Twitter]

Trump makes a pretty serious warning about the gross censorship going on within most social networks. He compared them to the old media—which has steadily died since he became president.

The wild and unchecked bias shown against Trump by the liberal media has driven millions of viewers away. Networks like CNN and newspapers like the New York Times are dying. President Trump predicts that when he leaves office, most of these outlets will go out of business.

He then warns social media that the same thing could happen to them. Because of their “tremendous dishonesty, bias, and discrimination” Trump predicts that social media sites would be driven out of business with the mainstream media.

It could very well happen. As major social networks continue to show a double standard against conservatives, users will just abandon them. Why put up with so much persecution, when you can join a network that doesn’t censor its users? Or, better yet, why use social media at all? Why not just put down your phone, go outside, and enjoy your day?

Social media would be wise to listen to Trump’s warning. They can dismiss him all they want, but they would do so to their peril. Americans believe in Trump and are outraged at the left’s censorship. If Facebook and the others don’t change their course fast, they might be in for a rude awakening.
