Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the bartender turned congresswoman, decided she had something to say about the intelligence level of Trump supporters as a whole during an interview in which she was prompted to speak on racism – a decision the host surely regretted after her admittedly embarrassing rant from AOC.
Ocasio-Cortez made an appearance this week on Crooked Media’s “Pod Save America,” podcast to foolishly say many of President Donald Trump’s supporters were not educated enough on racism to understand the policies they support are racist. Funny coming from an economics major who can barely count to 10.
Ocasio-Cortez said, “It’s not about asking are Trump voters racist. We need to talk about racism, not racists. Racist — it’s a very two-dimensional, boring conversation. Is something racist, yes or no.”
She continued, “We need to talk about racism, its contours, its histories, where it manifests, how it’s used, because like all winning political phenomena, whether good or bad in your opinion, they rely on collation building.
So Trump relied on a coalition, and a core part of that coalition were racists building a collation with all sorts of other people that could be susceptible to racist views—if they were blankets and layered and made people feel good about it not being a racist thing.”
She added, “So there are a lot of people that support Trump that genuinely don’t believe that they are racist because we do not talk about or educate people on recognizing racism. And because we do not do that we get caught in this debate of is something racist. Then people use their defensiveness, and they say, ‘Well, it’s not racist because I’m not racist and I believe this thing because it’s economic in nature.’”
AOC is one of those people that makes you wonder how they even dress themselves in the morning. The majority of what she says is just her rambling on about some nonsensical topic going in circles until she gets bored and decided to move on.
It’s unclear what the freshman Democrat aimed to accomplish by going on this wild rant about Trump’s supporters. It certainly isn’t going to help her convert any of them into pro AOC supporters – a statistic she desperately needs to have a chance of winning any election ever again after such a disastrous stint as congresswoman thus far.
Since the beginning of Trump’s announcement to run for President, the left and their media puppets have been attempting to black ball Trump and his supporters by labeling them as racist. With Trump posting soaring approval ratings and looking at a surefire 2nd term in 2020, it clearly has not worked.
Trump has strongly defended himself as Democrats and others have continued to especially accuse him of racism after he tweeted that four freshman Democratic Representatives frequently referred to as “the Squad,” New York Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez, Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna S. Pressley and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, should “go back” and fix the countries “they originally came from.”
Trump’s message was clear, and it had nothing to do with racism. This is the greatest nation on Earth, and rather than spend their entire careers as politicians complaining about it, they should embrace it.
