House Democrats who continue to work on reversing the results of the 2016 election were dealt yet another blow thanks to a federal judge who stymied Jerrold Nadler and his merry mob.
Obama appointee Judge Beryl Howell ruled that the impeachment mob couldn’t combine its effort to gain access to former White House Counsel Don McGahn’s testimony with the push to procure details from Bob Mueller’s grand juries which would be a treasure chest of oppo research.
Despite Nancy Pelosi’s obfuscation, there is no doubt that impeachment hearings will be held when Congress wraps up its latest obscene taxpayer-funded extended vacation but Howell’s ruling is a wrench jammed into the gears.
The judge agreed with the Justice Department and ruled that “connections between the two cases are too superficial” to be linked as the House Judiciary Committee claimed.

A federal judge has rejected a request from House Democrats to have their court fights for testimony from ex-White House counsel Don McGahn and material from former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report decided by the same judge.
Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the District of Columbia wrote in an 11-page opinion Wednesday that the connections between the two cases as presented by the House Judiciary Committee “are too superficial and attenuated” to meet the requirement for designating the cases as related, which would have allowed them to be decided by the same judge.
The decision marks a blow for House Democrats, who argued earlier this week that the cases should be deemed related because “both seek key evidence for the Judiciary Committee’s investigation into whether to recommend articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump for potentially criminal obstructive conduct.”
Justice Department attorneys representing McGahn opposed Democrats’ efforts, arguing that the cases are distinct and casting the committee’s desire to resolve the case quickly as unconvincing because of how long they waited to file the suit to enforce the subpoena for his testimony.
The spectacular implosion of the Mueller witch hunt when the vaunted special counsel’s report cleared President Trump of collusion with the Kremlin may have demoralized the resistance but the great man’s July testimony in front of Congress was even worse.
Mueller showed up in an event that was promoted for months and promptly exposed himself as a borderline senile doddering old man who clearly was only a figurehead for his own investigation.
But Mueller’s stammering, senior moments and lack of knowledge of what was within his own report did not deter Nadler and his fellow Judiciary Committee Democrats from moving forward with impeachment.

The proceedings may be about to begin but Democrats do not have the luxury of having time as their ally after dawdling over Mueller.
It is quite a dilemma to concoct a bogus impeachment against Trump built on hearsay and conspiracies this close to the election and Nadler’s Ahab-like pursuit of his longtime New York political foe many backfire big time.
Inside the Beltway, the media bubble and in the mad crackhouse of Twitter world there will continue to be an impeachment frenzy but enough voters can clearly see that Democrats were calling for impeachment even before Trump was inaugurated and will reject this scam at the ballot box.
Once they do, the curtain may finally drop on the fat clown with the funny pants.
