Self-proclaimed democratic socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has embarked on her latest attention seeking adventure, this time by exaggerating her feelings on the hoax that is climate change.
Rep. Ocasio did so by claiming that the potentially negative effects that climate change would have on the world have her feeling so distraught that she has even awaken startled at 3:30 A.M. due to feeling anxious about it.
It was during an Instagram livestream where AOC was answering questions from the brainwashed puppets that are her followers, when she admitted to feeling extreme angst over the supposed state of the climate.
“Even while I was on vacation, I woke up in the middle of the night, at 3:30 in the morning, um, just concerned about climate change,” she said.
The Democrat from New York also said that she struggles with balancing her work life and claimed climate change might affect her ability to have a family.
“I’m 29 years old. I really struggle sometimes with the idea of how to be a policymaker and potentially have a family in the time of climate change,” she said. “And it really, like, freaks me out and it can be really, really scary.”
AOC, at one point attempted to tap into her inner scientist and did an excellent job of spreading misinformation to all of her viewers with these few lines.
“There are a lot of diseases that are frozen in some of these glaciers. That scientists fear that there’s a lot of diseases that could escape these melted glaciers that were frozen for thousands of years. And that they’re going to get into our water.
And that humans could contract them. And they are going to be diseases that are thousands of years old that have vectors that we are not prepared for, that we have never seen. So, that’s a concern.”
Ocasio-Cortez also claimed the world is accelerating the process of climate change and said the prospect of living in the future fills her with fear.
“We are kind of blowing past a lot of the markers that scientists thought would happen years from now, and they’re actually happening now. Our glaciers are melting, our sea levels are rising,” she said.
“I’m scared sometimes, too, about the world that I’m going to be living in, that we’re all going to be living in. And I sometimes fear what we’re going to be living with when I’m 40, 50, 60 years old.”
Ironically enough, as much as AOC claims to be an advocate for a cleaner earth, she hasn’t done much of anything to fix it. In fact, her campaign has a history of doing the exact things that she claims are bad for the environment.
Her pipe dream, more commonly referred to as the “Green New Deal,” is a resolution introduced by Ocasio-Cortez that aims to, among other things, “achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions” within 10 years, make existing infrastructure and buildings more sustainable and energy efficient, and ensure universal access to clean, air, water and food.
While running for congress however, AOC’s campaign listed a staggering 1,049 transactions for Uber, Lyft, Juno and other car services, costing a total of $29,365.70 on federal filings, according to the New York Post. She also continues to travel on high emission airplanes and vehicles without any remorse.
