2020 Dem Makes Shocking Promise If He Wins

In an effort to breathe life into a fledgling campaign, far-left Democratic presidential candidate Robert Francis O’Rourke made a startling announcement over the weekend.

Following another national tragedy, the trust-fund baby O’Rourke, aimed to garner some much-needed support by reassuring anyone who had any doubt that if he is elected president, he intends to confiscate tens of millions of semi-automatic firearms from law-abiding Americans.

O’Rourke made the remarks while campaigning in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday when he was asked by a reporter how he plans to address peoples’ fears that the government is going to come and take their semi-automatic firearms.

Reporter: “How do you address fears that the government is going to confiscate people’s semi-auto firearms?”

O’Rourke responded: “I want to be really clear, that’s exactly what we are going to do. Americans who own [semi-automatic firearms] will have to sell them to the government.”

O’ Rourke’s campaign is on the brink of total failure, polling just above 2%, Beto has struggled to gain any traction. The situation is so bad that it was recently reported that opposition research requests from a top opposition research firm “have completely died off,” according to the daily beast.

O’Rourke has tried to use recent tragedies to relaunch his campaign and Saturday’s tragedy was no exception, as he quickly took to Twitter, sickly using the tragedy as a tool to promote his campaign.

“Our hearts are with Midland, Odessa, and everyone in West Texas who has to endure this again,” O’Rourke tweeted. “More information is forthcoming, but here’s what we know: We need to end this epidemic.”

O’Rourke later tweeted: “We don’t know how many have been killed. We don’t know the motivation. But here’s what we do know: This is fucked up.”

Not very “presidential” of you Beto.

Texas Rep. Matt Schaefer was quick to shoot down Beto and others with this same frame of thinking.

“‘Do something!’ is the statement we keep hearing,” Schaefer began. “As an elected official with a vote in Austin, let me tell you what I am NOT going to do.”

“I am NOT going to use the evil acts of a handful of people to diminish the God-given rights of my fellow Texans. Period. None of these so-called gun-control solutions will work to stop a person with evil intent,” Schaefer added.

“I say NO to ‘red flag’ pre-crime laws. NO to universal background checks. NO to bans on AR-15s, or high capacity magazines. NO to mandatory gun buybacks.”

“What can we do? YES to praying for victims. YES to praying for protection. YES to praying that God would transform the hearts of people with evil intent. YES to fathers not leaving their wives and children. YES to discipline in the homes,” Schaefer continued.

“YES to supporting our public schools. YES to giving every law-abiding single mom the right to carry a handgun to protect her and her kids without permission from the state, and the same for all other law-abiding Texans of age.”

Earlier this year, a Reuters report revealed that O’Rourke used to write fantasies about how he wanted to murder children.

“It’s unclear whether the United States is ready for a presidential contender who, as a teenager, stole long-distance phone service for his dial-up modem, wrote a murder fantasy in which the narrator drives over children on the street, and mused about a society without money,” Reuters reported.

“One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street,” O’Rourke wrote. “They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles …This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams.”

“As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two,” O’Rourke continued. “I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head.”
