With all the news focused on the pandemic, we can’t forget that we are going to the polls in November.
You might know who you’re voting for, but there’s a bigger concern: foreign governments trying to tamper with our democracy.
Democrats love to chant Russia, Russia, Russia. But according to AG Barr, there is a bigger problem child to worry about.
From Washington Examiner:
China is the greatest national security threat facing the United States, according to Attorney General William Barr…
“In my opinion, it’s China,” Barr said. “And not just to the election process, but I think across the board — there’s simply no comparison. China is a very serious threat to the United States geopolitically, economically, militarily, and a threat to the integrity of our institutions given their ability to influence things.”
While Democrats still focus on Russia, Attorney General Barr is saying China is the bigger threat to our election.
Barr said it is a serious threat geopolitically, economically, militarily. Not to mention a threat to our institutions.
He said China’s “ability to influence things,” is a more pressing concern than whatever Russia can do.
Much has been said about what Russia tried to do during the 2016 Election. Some Democrats still believe Trump “colluded” with them—despite Mueller failing to come up with a case to prove that.
But what is China up to? If you think Russia is a threat, keep in mind that China is responsible for producing a huge amount of our goods.
They produce much of the technology we use every day. Perhaps even some of the tech that goes into our election machines.
And we’ve seen how even an unintended threat from China can cripple the world (re: COVID-19). Imagine what they might accomplish if they tried to mess with our elections?
Then there is the inconvenient fact that Chinese businesses have investments in nearly all of our mainstream media outlets (and other industries).
What might they do to influence the elections?
It is a nation with a billion people. With a large military and growing technological advantage.
With Barr raising the alarm, our country can prepare and prevent any attempts by China to undermine our election. We can ensure that their influence, from social media to manufacturing, won’t seep into our democracy.
But I wonder what the Democrats think of this? Their candidate for president, Joe Biden, has had a comfy relationship with the communist Chinese government.
Will liberals support our Attorney General and help prevent China’s possible schemes?
