The media had a field day over images of a couple brandishing weapons to defend their home from a mob. As protestors stormed a gated community, intent on spreading chaos, these homeowners stood outside their home, guarding it with firearms. For that, a St. Louis prosecutor is going after them. But state leaders are quickly stepping in to end it.
You probably saw the photographs. The media took pains to show the McCloskeys during the tense confrontation between them and the mob. Funny how they refused to show the hordes of protesters that broke into their community, ready to do the unspeakable. These homeowners have been portrayed as hateful—perhaps racist by some—for simply protecting their home from strangers who might have destroyed it.
Nothing has been done against the mob who invaded this neighborhood. But police not only took the couple’s firearms, but a city prosecutor is charging them with “felony unlawful use of a weapon.”
Keep in mind the protesters had invaded their property. They did not fire a shot.
The backlash from this bogus and unlawful attack on two law-abiding citizens was quick and intense. The state A.G. promised to dismiss the charges immediately. The governor of Missouri also promised to pardon this couple.
On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) vowed to pardon Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who he argued didn’t break the law and are victims of a “political” prosecution…
“I’ll do everything within the Constitution of the State of Missouri to protect law-abiding citizens, and those people are exactly that. They’re law-abiding citizen[s], and they’re being attacked, frankly, by a political process, and it’s really unfortunate. It’s a sad day for us here in Missouri. They had every right to protect their property, their home, just like any of us would. And if you had a mob coming towards [you], whether they tore down a gate or not, when they come on your property, they don’t have a right to do that in an aggressive manner. And people have a right to protect their selves, their families, and their property, that’s the Castle Doctrine in the state of Missouri.” [Source: Breitbart]
What the Democrats are trying to get away with is in line with everything they’ve done in recent months. Leftists are rewarding criminals, giving them free rein, while they go out of their way to punish law-abiding citizens.
We saw that during the lockdowns, where Democrats released criminals from prison but forced Americans into their homes. They even arrested churchgoers and people going to the barbershop.
As rioters raged across the country, Democrats applauded their efforts—ignoring the widespread damage and violence. They even defunded police departments, calling cops the enemy.
In the case of the McCloskeys, Democrats have portrayed them as criminals and wrongdoers for protecting their home—while thugs who broke into their neighborhood and invaded their property are either celebrated or ignored.
For Democrats, everything’s backwards. They don’t care about hard-working, law-abiding Americans. But they do everything in their power to encourage criminal activity. It’s as if Democrats want more crime and chaos in our cities.
Spoiler! They do. If our nation is plunged into chaos, crime, and economic collapse, Democrats can try to swoop in to “save” us with socialism. That is their end goal, after all. A prosperous America, full of safe and proud citizens, will never embrace the left’s toxic plan. So, they have to let things get really bad to scare enough Americans into supporting their scheme.
Don’t believe me? Do you have a better explanation for why Democrats are letting thugs roam free, but punish law-abiding citizens? Why they let their cities burn to the ground, while defunding cops?
They only solution is for America-loving citizens to send Democrats a message in November.
