If there is one person we’ve learned not to trust during the COVID pandemic, it’s been Anthony Fauci. The once-member of Trump’s task force has been spreading doom-and-gloom about the virus since day one. He has inflated the worst-case scenarios, sparking greater fear and panic than was necessary. And although frequently he’s been proven wrong, the media continues to prop him up like a medical messiah.
But it’s no secret Fauci and his National Institute of Allery and Infectious Diseases has been making bank off this crisis. Aside from his near-endless television appearances, the doctor has been a part of countless government-funded studies. He, like many other elites, has been benefiting from this pandemic. And it’s quite possible he doesn’t want any of this to die down soon, so he continues to spread worrisome comments not at all backed by the evidence.
Frequently, Sen. Rand Paul (a physician himself) has publicly criticized Fauci for his fearmongering and frequency of being wrong. It seems like he’s only a few leaders to call out this man, who appears to care more about crippling America than actually ending the pandemic. Now, another Republican lawmaker is singling out Fauci for his horrible track record.
“Dr. Fauci lied about masks in March,” Sen. Rubio tweeted on Sunday morning. “Dr. Fauci has been distorting the level of vaccination needed for herd immunity.”
“It isn’t just him,” the post continued. “Many in elite bubbles believe the American public doesn’t know ‘what’s good for them’ so they need to be tricked into ‘doing the right thing.’”
Fauci, who recently turned 80, has been criticized for frequently changing his recommendations and projections since the pandemic began…

Rubio called out Fauci, who once said we don’t need to wear masks, but changed his tune once everyone else started pushing masks. He also admitted he lied about herd immunity, increasing his estimates based on nothing more than his desire to appear on television.
Remember, this is the same “expert” who said in March we need two weeks of shutdowns to “slow the spread.” The same man who dismissed the millions of people losing their livelihoods as “inconvenient.” The same man who claimed medieval-style lockdowns would work, but after nine months we’ve seen no evidence that lockdowns have done anything.
In fact, lockdowns have led to significantly damaging unintended consequences, including many other health-related problems. Funny how this “expert” didn’t foresee any of that.
The truth of the matter is, there are many within the medical industry who have been using COVID—and the fear they personally generated—to profit. Fauci is their ringleader, but they all continue to ignore the good news, inflate the bad, and invent new reasons to panic. It doesn’t matter if we have two vaccines with a 95% success rate for a virus with a 99.98% recovery rate. They have been benefitting off of this crisis, so they’ll keep making it appear as bad as possible.
Only until Americans refuse to listen to people like Fauci, will we start to return to normal.
