In the Monday report, Martin along with Maggie Haberman, write that outgoing Senate Majority Leader McConnell believes Trump did commit “impeachable offenses.” And that McConnell “welcomes” the impeachment of the President in order to dump Trump and his supporters.
They also went on to claim that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has decided with “other leaders” to not push for Republicans to vote “no” and is open to censuring the president. McCarthy even discussed with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer a strategy to get the GOP to agree with a formal censure, but only if the DNC called off impeachment.

and…
McCarthy has asked colleagues if he should urge Trump to resign, is open to a censure

ALSO: Biden called McConnell yesterday and asked if Senate could dual track impeachment trial and cabinet confirmations.
Far from telling Biden he would not discuss the impeachment, McConnell said he would check with the parliamentarian and get back to Biden.
