Senators: The Civil War Is Now Canceled

Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla., this Tuesday said “the GOP Civil War is now cancelled,” in a message to GOP leaders and activists calling for unity before the upcoming midterms.

“The impeachment is now over,” said Scott, the current chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.” This political theater should have been in the Kennedy Center instead of the Capitol Building. It was not a serious thing. Now it’s over and it’s time to look ahead.”

The senator also said the GOP should think about what Democrats can do while in control of Congress and the White House.

“They control the Senate, the White House, and the House. In other words, they control Washington,” Scott said.

“Here is what they are in the process of doing right now: stopping border security, granting amnesty to all illegals, cancelling pipelines and destroying jobs, allowing males in women’s sports and using our money to pay for abortion in foreign nations.”

He noted that GOP in-fighting “must not be true and will not be true. Those pushing the flames in the media want a GOP civil war.”

Scott added, “We don’t have time for that: The left wants to destroy American freedoms, and the threat they pose to all of us is very real.”
