Biden’s DHS Does the Unthinkable — The President Is Not Happy

We all know that under Trump, the border was largely under control. Even during a migrant crisis in 2018, Trump was able to masterfully get foreign nations to help eliminate the situation. During his four years in office, Trump prevented the continued flow of illegals into our country.

That was thanks to a variety of measures, meant to discourage people from crossing the border illegally. Perhaps his best-known decision was his history border wall, which was a combination of two steel fences, with enhanced security and other features.

Democrats and some Republicans opposed the border wall tooth and nail. But Trump managed to secure funding and had built hundreds of miles of the wall. Construction of new sections of the wall were still underway into January of 2021, when Joe Biden ended the program.

Soon, after, the border exploded with hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens trying to get it.

Without support from the administration and out of ideas, the DHS just might be going back to the old days.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is considering resuming construction of the border wall after having halted construction in late January, a report claims…

In a conversation with ICE employees last week [DHS Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas was asked about his plans for the wall and he said that while Mr. Biden has canceled the border emergency and halted Pentagon money flowing to the wall, “that leaves room to make decisions” on finishing some “gaps in the wall…

“The president has communicated quite clearly his decision that the emergency that triggered the devotion of DOD funds to the construction of the border wall is ended. But that leaves room to make decisions as the administration, as part of the administration, in particular areas of the wall that need renovation, particular projects that need to be finished,” he said. Joe Biden halted the border wall construction, claiming the “emergency” that triggered the funds Trump acquired from the DOD were no longer needed. Really? Then why did 170,000 illegal aliens try to cross the border in March alone? That was more than in any month in 15 years.

Biden’s decision to end the wall construction has cost taxpayers about $6 million a day, killed 5,000 construction jobs, not to mention other jobs in industries that supplied materials for the project.

But the glimmer of hope is that the DHS can still finish plans that were ongoing, when Biden took office. There are “gaps” as they claim, that can be filled in. Regardless of Biden’s order, the agency has some leverage in finishing at least some parts of the project.

We know why they are even looking at this. Biden’s idiocy has turned our border into a disaster area. The DHS has no place to put all the illegals getting caught. Under Trump, they would have been deported or required to wait in Mexico. But dummy Biden is only putting a burden on our government agencies, while at the same time jeopardizing our national security.

For DHS to want to continue wall construction, it’s proof that even Biden’s staffers are fed up with his decisions. The wall needs to go up. Even they know it.
