In a push to increase vaccines to “white conservative communities., the Biden White House plans to drive vaccine messaging to country music listeners and NASCAR fans.
On Monday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the administration’s efforts to reach conservative and rural areas with its vaccine drives, and said it will publish public service announcements on “The Deadliest Catch., Country Music Television and NASCAR.
“People often think of that as only brown and black communities but it’s not., Psaki told reporters. “As you have noted, also white evangelicals, conservative communities. It’s a variety of communities around the nation.”
“We are looking at ways of directly connecting to white conservatives. We won’t always be the best at this, but we are attempting to meet people and help local groups.”
Stereotyping white conservatives is of course very offensive. What if the Biden Administration’s stated goal was to connect with black voters with rap music and basketball?
In March, the HHS announced a $10 billion drive to increase “vaccine confidence” in the hardest-hit and highest-risk parts of the nation.
