Biden Panics As New Approval Rating Says It All

President Biden’s approval has lowered under 50%, according to a just released Trafalgar Group poll showing 48.3% approval for his job performance and 47.5% disapproval.

The number is less than last month when a Gallup poll had the president marked with a 57% approval.

This drop comes as Biden continues to struggle with the pandemic, an illegal immigrant surge, a bad jobs report and increasing Mideast violence.

The Trafalgar poll also showed that 57.4% of Democrat voters were likely to vote for President Biden in a possible 2024 reelection. With another 7.9% responding that they would “consider” him.

When asked about their pick if President Biden were not to seek reelection, VP Kamala Harris was their top choice at 41.3%. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg came in at second at 9.3%, followed by AOC at 8%.

On the GOP side, 61.5% of voters responded that they would “absolutely” vote for Trump in their primary if he runs. Another 7.8% responded they would “consider” him.

If Trump is not a 2024 contender, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is the top choice at 34.9% among all GOP voters. He is followed by Senator Ted Cruz, and former VP Mike Pence at 10%.

For people who did not support Trump, Romney was their favorite pick at 36.1%.

The poll was done April 30 to May 6 and spoke to 1,571 possible voters. The margin of error +/- 2.47% with a confidence rate of 95%.
