Why are fuel prices going up across America? Why are you paying much more for gas than you were just a year ago (not to mention what you’re paying for your house’s energy)?
Democrats will claim it’s just part of the pandemic-induced recession. They sweep concerns over rising costs under the rug, hoping the media will help them bamboozle Americans yet again.
We all know that’s garbage. The economy was recovering quite nicely, before Joe Biden took office. In fact, on his very first day he made decisions that directly harmed America’s energy production and independence.
Now, Republican governors are hammering Biden for what he’s done to America.
A group of Republican governors criticized President Joe Biden’s energy policies in a statement Monday, arguing his actions have “punished consumers.”…
“Since taking office, President Biden has used executive action to interfere in the market and force banks to bend their will to the left’s energy policies, including efforts to gut the oil, gas, and coal industries,” says the statement, led by Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon. “These policies have punished consumers still recovering from the pandemic.”
In addition to Gordon, the statement was also signed by Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte, Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. [Source: Just the News]
Governors in states that largely depend on the energy industry teamed up to call out Biden’s disastrous energy policies. These governors know that, thanks to Biden, their citizens are struggling right now. After all, Biden’s decisions have put a stranglehold on the future of their livelihoods.
Soon after entering office, Joe Biden signed orders that put a hamper on American energy production. One of his most infamous was the canceling of the Keystone XL pipeline, which would have provided much more fuel, not to mention over one thousand jobs.
On top of that, he signed another order that banned the drilling of oil and gas on federal land. In some states, like New Mexico, that brought the industry to a standstill.
A lack of America-produced fuel contributes to rising costs. The less fuel we make, the more fuel we have to buy from countries overseas, who can charge us whatever they want.
Other ways Biden hurt our energy industry? Where was his FBI and CIA when Russian criminals hacked into a major pipeline that provided fuel the East Coast? Making videos about inclusivity and “wokeness.” Our intelligence agencies were caught flat-footed as a major American company was held for $5 million in ransom.
Those are only the tip of the iceberg of the decisions this socialist Democrat made that are now hurting Americans.
In response, Republican-led states have launched a variety of lawsuits against the administration. But until those cases are decided, much of America has to continue to suffer.
