Obama Throws Biden Under the Bus In One Of The Cruelest Ways Possible

It hasn’t even been a year since Joe Biden entered office, but already we know what his legacy will be. A wrecked economy, record low approval, and the fall of Afghanistan. But let’s not forget his biggest, ongoing failure, our Southern border.

Biden told the world’s migrants that they were welcome to trample over our border at the beginning of the year. He eliminated numerous policies that kept the border secure. And hundreds of thousands started coming. Experts predicted we’d see over one million try to enter this year. We’ve most likely surpassed that by now.

The border crisis reached new heights when tens of thousands of Haitians were found under a bridge. Biden did not deport them, but let most of them in. Now, a former pro-open borders president is blasting Biden’s disgraceful failure.

Former President Barack Obama said Tuesday that open border policies on the Southern border were “unsustainable” for the United States.

“We have borders,” Obama said in an interview with ABC News host Robin Roberts. “The idea that we can just have open borders is something that … as a practical matter, is unsustainable.”

“As big-hearted as he is, nobody understands that better than Joe Biden. And the question is now: Are we gonna get serious about dealing with this problem in a systemic way, as opposed to these one-offs where we’re constantly reacting to emergencies?” [Source: Breitbart]

Obama defied the current liberal narrative by saying we can’t have open borders. And that the situation Biden has put us in is “unsustainable.” But don’t think Obama was being nice about old Joe when he said the man has a “big heart.” That was really one of Barry’s trademarked back-handed compliments. In a diplomatic way, he blasted Joe for his ongoing failures.

The former president openly criticized Biden’s botched attempts at addressing the border, calling them “one-offs” where he is “constantly reacting to emergencies.” That was a serious swipe at Biden’s lack of leadership on this issue (and every issue). Obama claims we need to deal with this problem “in a systemic way,” rather than lurch from one fire to the next.

Huh, funny how Obama didn’t do much to address this when he was president. And there wasn’t much talk from the left about fixing the border when Trump was in office. Perhaps because we didn’t have a border crisis when 45 was in charge? The current mess isn’t a result of a “broken” system, but a broken administration that deliberately destroyed our borders.

Reporters grilled White House press secretary Jen Psaki over Obama’s remarks. They demanded a reaction from Biden, who has consistently ignored the border crisis. Psaki, in her typical way, denied reality and tried to give a weak, unconvincing response. She claimed, “We don’t have open borders. So yes, he agrees.”

Not great, Jen. Borders are only “closed” when you enforce immigration and border laws. Biden has not done that once since he entered office. He clearly does not agree with his predecessor and you are scrambling to cover.

But when Obama is criticizing old Joe, you know it’s bad.
