When Democrats took over Congress and the White House, they must have expected smooth sailing. Perhaps they believed they could do no wrong after Trump left the presidency. Boy, were they hopelessly wrong. As it turns out, Biden has been such an utter failure, Democrats are suffering from coast to coast.
Not that they are helpless victims. Democrats at the state and federal level have blindly gone along with Biden’s broken agenda. They have refused to push back on his open border, attacks on our fuel industry, and unconstitutional vaccine mandates. This has resulted in millions of Americans turning on the Democratic Party.
Now, a former spokesman for the liberal mayor of D.C. is switching sides. And he’s calling out Sleepy Joe.
Victor Jimenez, a former spokesman for Democrat D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, has left the Democrat Party, attributing his switch to the Republican Party to President Biden’s immigration crisis and poor handling of the economy…
“The reason I switched parties is because of everything that’s going on in the country right now. We see immigration through the roof right now, and that is affecting a lot of Hispanic families in my home state of Virginia,” Jimenez told Tucker Carlson…
“Those reasons and more made me switch parties because Biden is completely destroying the economy right now, and people can feel it in their pockets,” he said. [Source: Breitbart]
Jimenez has taken the bold step to leave the Democratic Party, after serving the D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. But the reasons he’s joining the GOP are blowing a hole in the left’s ongoing narrative. The biggest reason he is ditching the party is because of Biden’s failed immigration policy. This Hispanic America is upset about the countless illegals flooding the country.
He went on to say that Biden’s refusal to secure our border is harming Hispanic families in his home state. What!? I thought Hispanic Americans supported Biden’s immigration “reform”? If you believe Democrats, you’d think all Hispanic folks in the U.S. got here illegally and would support Biden’s planned border crisis.
Not even close. That kind of thinking (extremely common on the left) is just as hateful and racist and the kind of thinking they claim to condemn. The inconvenient truth is that most Hispanic Americans do not want illegal aliens flooding our country. When outsiders sneak into our country, it has the potential of hurting all Americans, including minorities who have to compete for jobs.
Illegal aliens might end up in communities full of hard-working Hispanic Americans. And these migrants aren’t always law-abiding, family types. Even Jimenez pointed out that there are a lot of “bad people” trying to get in, with “illegal guns and drugs.”
It was very brave for Jimenez to publicly make the change to the GOP. He will certainly receive plenty of attacks from outraged liberals, who will slander his race and reputation over this. But it seems Biden’s failures are too great to ignore. For him and millions of others.
