You can’t keep a good hypocrite down. When Democrats took over the federal government last year, they pretended like they could do a better job than the GOP and Donald Trump. They were wrong and they knew it. Biden claimed he could “shut down” the virus, promising normal life by July 4, 2021. That didn’t work out.
Democrats in blue states continued to push strict COVID mandates, under the false assumption that tyrannical policies would “end” the pandemic. If only we put up with these violations of our rights for a few more months, then the disease would go away and never return.
Republicans know that is garbage—and have dropped mandates and restrictions long ago. Now, facing electorial extermination in the Fall, Democrats are scrambling to rewrite history and pretend like they never demanded lockdowns, mandates, or restrictions.
With the midterm elections in sight, President Biden and fellow Democrats in Congress and governors’ mansions nationwide are completing a 180 on their COVID-19 response, abandoning the president’s promise to “shut down” the virus as Americans say they want to “get on with their lives.” […]
“But in order to get people to view the pandemic differently, they have to feel differently about the pandemic,” said one senior administration official, echoing a belief among at least some on Biden’s team that Americans are living in fear and are pessimistic about returning to their normal lives.
This belief appears to be out of touch with the pulse of the American people, 70% of whom agree “COVID is here to stay and we just need to get on with our lives,” according to recent polling. [Source: Just the News]
Too little, too late. Several Democrat-run states are only now mulling dropping their mask mandates—after numerous studies reveal masks do nothing. This is being seen by liberals as a “push” to change their response to COVID so they can salvage the midterms. But not being discussed are their vaccine mandates and passports, which have jeopardized millions of jobs.
Biden’s failed presidency is also trying to pivot. After violating the rights of 100 million Americans (while letting sick illegals into the country), he is now pretending like his idea all along was to just learn how to live with COVID. Psaki claims they are trying to move away from a “constant crisis” policy to return to “normal.”
Who’s going to tell them?
Free America has been “back to normal” for over a year now. Red states are thriving, thanks to a lack of mandates, passports, or mask requirements. This “pivot” will not be accepted by Americans are Democrats coming to their senses. But a desperate ploy to trick voters into backing them.
Americans’ memories are not as short as that. We won’t forget that Democrats shut down our lives, ruining major milestones like graduations and weddings. We won’t forget that Democrats destroyed millions of businesses and the mental health of countless children. We won’t forget that Democrats turned neighbors against one another and—for two years—stoked fear and hysteria so they could gain political power.
Nope, we won’t forget. And this little “pivot” is not going to save them.
