Liberals Suddenly Realize Trump Was Right About The UN

With Russia now carrying out an invasion of Ukraine under a totally absurd pretenses, costing untold innocent lives, the reactions are happening fast and hard.

For liberals, the coping mechanisms have already went into high gear. Donald Trump, who is not even president, is being talked about more than Vladimir Putin. After all, they couldn’t hold Joe Biden, the real President, accountable for his terrible failures.

Another scapegoat has shown itself that connects to Trump too. As the UN Security Council met after the invasion started, an absurd spectacle happened, with Russia being allowed to chair the meeting. That led to condemnations from people like Ben Rhodes, the mediocrity behind Obama’s foreign policy.

If only there were a president who spent lots of energy going after the UN, exposing the group’s corruption, and trying to reform it. Wait, that is exactly what happened while Donald Trump was president — and he was actually condemned for it by people in both parties.

Remember when the UN Ambassador at the time, Nikki Haley, left the UN Human Rights Council due to its anti-Semitism, and liberals were taking the side of despots? Remember when Donald Trump spoke to the UN and spoke about the insanity of the group supporting dictators while also lecturing other nations? And then every media outlet rushed to attack the orange man instead of keeping the UN accountable?

We remember. In fact, I would be short-selling the issue by only giving Trump credit for being against the UN. The GOP to its credit, was begging Dems for decades to understand the UN is a total waste of money and time. The push to pull the funding was ongoing. Had Dems put aside their partisanship for one second and handed their support for such a move, it could have forced reforms to happen. Instead, every single time a GOP member suggested the UN was an issue that should be dealt with, they were excoriated by the establishment, from Dem politicians to the mainstream news industry.
