There is a simple solution to this gas crisis. America is sitting on ample resources of oil and natural gas. All we have to do is drill for oil ourselves. Putin’s oil will have little impact on us, while our sanctions cripple its economy. But Biden shut down our energy dominance under Trump. And because of this, millions of Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
Biden is at the mercy of both radical environmentalists and special interest groups. Neither wants America energy-independent. At a certain point, a real leader (even a corrupt Democrat) would take a stand. You can’t expect your party to win elections if you do nothing to help Americans. Even Obama would have caved at this point and drilled for more oil. But Biden, who was never a leader, lacks the backbone to do the right thing.
He refuses to let Americans drill, but he has tried to contact Saudi Arabia, to beg them to drill more oil. But the leaders of OPEC wouldn’t even take his call.
The White House unsuccessfully tried to arrange calls between President Biden and the de facto leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates as the U.S. was working to build international support for countering Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and contain a surge in oil prices, said Middle East and U.S. officials.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the U.A.E.’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan both declined U.S. requests to speak to Mr. Biden in recent weeks, the officials said, as Saudi and Emirati officials have become more vocal in recent weeks in their criticisms of American policy in the Gulf. How pathetic do you have to be to not get someone to at least talk to you? Biden is such a poor leader, so unimpressive, that Middle Eastern leaders (who stand to gain from these talks) won’t even return his calls. When Trump was president, these same people treated him literally like royalty. They rolled out the red carpet when he visited. He even managed to craft deals between Arab nations and Israel.
As hypocritical as it is for Biden to want other countries to drill more oil, he can’t even convince them to talk to him. This is because these men know Biden’s got nothing to win them over. They neither fear nor respect him. That’s what happens when you elect a career politician and yes man, a man who has no leadership skills and is suffering mental decline, to the highest position in government.
The world walks all over you. And they’re not done yet.
