As the economy began to turn south under Joe Biden, Democrats did their best to deflect. They claimed early in 2021 that inflation was temporary. Then, they blamed the supply chain. Then, they blamed consumers (i.e.: you and me). Now, they are blaming Russia, even though this problem has been going on for over a year.
In the past, Biden has vowed to address the rising prices of necessities and gasoline. Today, he seems to be giving up, instead hoping Americans will join him in blaming Putin. Neither Biden nor his media team is aware of history. Americans always blame the president for economic troubles. The buck does in fact stop at the Oval Office. And the latest poll is absolutely brutal.
As if things could possibly get any worse for President Joe Biden, a new poll shows 7 out of 10 Americans think he’s poorly handling the surge of inflation across the country.
The rate of inflation grew by nearly 8% in the last year, with prices for everything from gasoline to bread, milk, and eggs soaring.
On Sunday, a new poll from ABC News/Ipsos showed Americans blame Biden for just about everything. “On inflation, President Biden has a 70 percent disapproval rating, compared to 29 percent who approve. On gas prices, 70 percent also disapprove, while 28 percent approve,” ABC reported. [Source: Daily Wire]
I don’t think we’ve ever seen disapproval numbers for a president this bad, ever. Even George W. Bush was polling better than this, at the height of the Iraq fiasco. Biden is working overtime trying to blame everyone else for the high prices. But Americans are giving him a staggering 70% disapproval for how he’s handled inflation.
Most Americans might not understand how Biden is responsible, but he is. Several factors contributed to rising prices. One of the biggest was Biden’s “stimulus” bill from last year. Which also puts the blame on the Democrats who voted for it. His administration has also mishandled the supply chain backlog. And his radical “green” policies have crippled our energy sector, leading to skyrocketing gas prices.
Had Biden simply kept in place Trump’s pro-American policies, things would be much different. It wouldn’t be as good as if a real president was in charge, but we would be seeing 8% inflation in just one year and gas prices rising 22% in just two weeks. Joe Biden has proven he cannot lead, nor that he has any intentions of fixing this problem. And he’s dragging down his party with him.
