Joe Biden and his failed administration have spent the last year blaming everything and everyone for their mistakes. When inflation spiked, they blamed “greedy” corporations. When the supply chain broke down, they blamed eager shoppers. When COVID continued to rage, they blamed unvaccinated Americans. And, in recent weeks, Biden has blamed rising gas prices on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
That would make sense, if prices hadn’t been climbing for months. Joe Biden’s anti-energy and anti-American policies crippled American oil production. The price of gas and electricity has steadily risen over 2021. The sudden spike this month was triggered by sanctions, but it wouldn’t have happened, if we still had the same policies in place from the Trump era. That hasn’t stopped Biden from refusing to take responsibility. But a new poll reveals Americans aren’t buying this narrative.
A plurality of Americans blame the Biden administration for high gas prices, an Emerson Polling survey released this week found.
Inflation is continuing to hit Americans hard as 83 percent reveal they are experiencing some level of hardship due to increased prices of goods. Of those, 40 percent say they are experiencing “significant” hardship. Given that, it comes as no surprise that the economy is the top issue for respondents.
According to the survey, “When asked about who they blame for an increase in gas prices” specifically, “a plurality (39%) blame the Biden Administration, 21% blame the sanctions on Russia, and 18% blame gas and oil companies.” [Source: Breitbart]
It’s shocking to see Biden refuse to take a shred of responsibility for the crises we’re in now. He recently doubled down on his lies, saying that inflation and high energy prices weren’t caused by Democrats, but Vladimir Putin. Oh, yes! I forgot that the Russian president has that much control over American economics and pricing! How silly of me.
It has nothing to do with Biden’s deliberate decisions to cripple American energy, ignore the supply chain, flood the economy with new cash, and push for more spending. And it appears Americans aren’t believing him either. This new poll shows that even leftist outlets are blaming Biden for the crisis. Most Americans blame Biden, at 39%. Only 21% blame the sanctions on Russia. And 18% are buying another one of Joe’s lies, that it’s the oil companies’ fault.
And even those who blame the sanctions are also saying it’s Biden’s fault, since the sanctions were put into place by… you guessed it, Biden. He can blame Putin all he wants, he was the one who decided to hurt Americans with these sanctions. Reports indicate Russia is not at all bothered by these sanctions, since they continue to do trade with China, Iran, and yes Europe.
So, who is Biden going to blame next for his sins? Santa Claus? The Easter Bunny?
