The liberal media doesn’t want you to think about how the war in Ukraine is Biden’s fault. But back in January, Biden held his first press conference in 300 days. Like the last (and only) one, he had reapproved reporters as him questions they submitted in advance. Even with those guard rails in place, Biden failed tremendously. The worst was when he said the U.S. would not respond if Putin made a “minor incursion” into Ukraine.
That gave Russia the green light to stage a full-scale assault on the country. Since then, Biden has routinely condemned Putin’s actions, but has done nothing to truly stop the fighting. All of Biden’s decisions have ended up hurting Americans more, as sanctions put further strain on a crippled economy. Biden has talked big, but done very little. Now, his latest claim pushes the goalposts even further back. And we doubt he’ll make good on it, anyway.
President Joe Biden said the United States “would respond” if Russia deployed chemical weapons in Ukraine, though he declined to explain what that response could include.
Biden was asked Thursday if the United States and NATO would respond militarily if Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine. Biden promised a response, but hedged on whether the response would include the U.S. military or other NATO forces.
“We would respond. We would respond if he uses it. The nature of the response would depend on the nature of the use,” Biden said. [Source: Daily Wire]
Oh, sure. Biden “would respond” if Putin used chemical weapons in their unprovoked, outrageous attack on Ukraine. Why should we believe that? Biden did not respond when Russia invaded parts of Ukraine. Biden did not respond when Russia attacked major Ukrainian cities, like Kyiv. Biden did not even respond when Putin threatened nuclear war and used hypersonic missiles.
There are even reports that Russia’s committed war crimes—reports Biden seemed to believe. Yet he has not “responded.” Why should we believe Biden will do anything if Putin uses painful, torturous chemical weapons?
Of course, the poor excuse for a president refused to say he’d respond. I guess he’d just get in front of the cameras, squint and scowl, and do nothing of real consequence. Biden has really perfected the image of a worthless, powerless coward, who lets global bullies walk all over him.
Nobody is saying we should start a war with Russia. But there is so much more we can do to let Putin know we mean business. But Putin knows the score. Biden is a compromised, corrupt politician who has no intentions of doing the right thing.
Sad to say, but he won’t do anything about chemical weapons.
