Embarrassing: Woke Musicians Who Pulled From Spotify Over Joe Rogan Sneak Back On

Remember when the woke mob tried to cancel Joe Rogan? Which time, right? Despite the left’s unending attempts at destroying this popular comedian and podcast host, he seems to be more popular than ever before.

Last time, they tried to kick him off of Spotify. A number of well-known artists threatened to leave the platform until the company canceled its contract with Rogan. Well, Spotify knew the score. And far more users were flocking to the platform thanks to Rogan, than he’s old dinosaurs.

And, after months being off the platform, these musicians must have seen their revenues plummet. So, they are sneaking back on board.

Crosby, Stills & Nash have ended the protest they began against Spotify five months ago over the streaming service’s deal with podcast king Joe Rogan.

The aging harmony rockers’ music returned to Spotify July 2, according to Billboard. They had pulled their catalog in solidarity with erstwhile member Neil Young, who was upset at Rogan’s penchant for interviewing guests with different points of view on COVID…

But Rogan’s still on Spotify, and now mouldering Crosby, Stills and Nash hits like “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Our House” and “Teach Your Children” are back, too. A source told Billboard the band will donate proceeds from streams of its music to COVID charities for at least a month. [Source: Daily Wire]

Oh! They are “donating” the revenue from streams to a charity… for at least a year. How many people think those charity cases will be these musicians and their grandkids?

I find it hilarious just how quickly leftists rush to protest… until they learn how much it will cost them. I thought hippies cared more about principles than profits. But, I guess when you lose potentially millions of streams on the most popular music platform in the world, you quickly re-evaluate your principles.

It’s worth noting that, so far, Neil Young, who dragged Crosby, Stills & Nash into his protest is still off the service. I guess he’s happy without the revenue Spotify brings in.

Spotify has a $200 million contract with Joe Rogan. Chances are, they had a clause that would have forced them to pay much (if not all) of that sum to him if they kicked him off the platform. Then, Rogan would have just found another platform, bringing his legion of fans with him.

The streaming service must have realized it was better to keep paying Rogan, while bringing new listeners to their company.

This is a big loss for the woke mob. Over recent months, we’ve seen “cancel culture” fail time and again. These radical leftists thought they could pressure big companies into doing their bidding. But more and more companies realize there is no profit in bending the knee to the left. In fact, just the opposite.

Most Americans don’t share the left’s views and are often disgusted by its attempts to ruin careers. Companies like Spotify and Netflix are slowly realizing that politics don’t belong in entertainment.

Hopefully, the rest of them will learn the same lesson.
