In recent days, news out of Asia has caused quite a stir. Two people in India have been confirmed to have the Nipah virus, a rare but super deadly disease. Because of this, airports across Asia are bringing back COVID-style health screenings. Passengers are being checked for fever, given warning cards, and told to report symptoms. It sounds scary, doesn’t it?
But let’s take a step back and think clearly. While we must always be careful with diseases, we also must stay alert to government overreach. We remember all too well what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governments around the world, including our own, used fear to take away freedoms. They shut down churches and small businesses. They forced masks and vaccines on people. They told us to stay in our homes while politicians galivanted at restaurants and hair salons. We were told it was “for our safety,” but what we really saw was raw government power.
You’ve probably never heard of the Nipah virus before, although it’s not new. Its kill rate hovers around 70%, meaning 7 out of every 10 people who catch the virus end up in the morgue. For reference, Covid’s kill rate was about 1%.
But let’s look at the facts. So far, there are only two confirmed cases in India. No cases have been found in the United States. And according to Indian officials, nearly 200 people who were in contact with the patients have tested negative and show no symptoms. That is important. This is not a widespread outbreak. This is a local, isolated event.

Still, some are already sounding the alarm about what “could” happen. They warn that infected travelers might bring the disease here. They hint that we might need to prepare for another round of lockdowns, masks, and restrictions. The media, public health agencies, and globalist organizations are already laying the groundwork for more control. Friends, we must not fall for this again.

Let’s be honest. The same people who pushed untested vaccines and wrecked our economy during COVID are the ones now warning us about Nipah. But they’re not just concerned about health—they want power. They want to bring back the same tools they used during the pandemic: emergency orders, contact tracing, and government surveillance. They want to control your travel, your gatherings, and your speech. Don’t think it can’t happen again.
We must be vigilant. Our Constitution does not vanish during a health scare. Our rights do not disappear because someone might get sick. The federal government has only the powers given to it by the Constitution. Nowhere in that sacred document is it allowed to shut down churches, force people to inject a substance, or track their every move. Those powers belong to the states and to the people.
President Trump has made it clear: the American people will not live under health tyranny again. The federal government should not—and under his leadership, will not—use a limited outbreak on another continent as an excuse to trample our freedoms. If precautions are needed, they should be handled locally, with respect for individual liberty and state authority.
We must also demand truth and transparency from our health agencies. No more fear-mongering. No more hiding behind “the science” while silencing debate. If a disease truly threatens the public, then honest information is the best defense. Not panic. Not control. And certainly not another round of unconstitutional mandates.
Don't fall for the media hype around Nipah virus.
Nipah virus outbreaks have occurred almost EVERY year since the late 1990s — primarily in Bangladesh and India.

Let us remember: freedom is fragile. It can be lost in a moment if we’re not careful. We must learn from the past and stand firm. Fear is a tool of tyranny. But courage—courage rooted in truth, law, and liberty—is the strength of a free people.
So stay alert, stay informed, and above all, stay free. The Constitution is not a fair-weather document. It is the anchor that holds us steady, even in times of trouble. Let’s not let fear break those chains that bind government, and protect us—the people.
