Cover Up: What the Media Isn't Saying About the Chaos in Minneapolis

The American people are being lied to. Again. While cities like Minneapolis descend into chaos, the legacy media—the same ones who pushed Russian collusion hoaxes and covered up Biden’s mental decline for years—are once again turning a blind eye. This time, it’s not just about hiding facts. It’s about covering up lawlessness in real time. Independent journalist Nick Sortor is one of the few independent journalists on the scene trying to get the truth out about what’s really happening on the streets in Minneapolis. And for that, he was attacked, robbed, and told by the police to leave—simply for doing his job.

Let that sink in. A journalist, standing on American soil, was told by uniformed officers to leave the area—for his own safety—not because he was breaking the law, but because he had a camera. Because he dared to show the world what the political elites and their media allies don’t want you to see: the truth.

Sortor was not wandering into some war zone overseas. He was in an American city—Minneapolis, Minnesota. But today, thanks to weak leadership by the mayor and governor, parts of this city might as well be war zones. And what’s worse, the people in charge—Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey—have either lost control or are turning a blind eye. Maybe both.

The so-called “protests” that the media keeps talking about? They’re riots. Sortor made that crystal clear. “It’s been a riot since day one,” he said. And he would know. He was there, on the ground, watching the violence firsthand. He saw the destruction. He was targeted simply for trying to show the American people the truth.

And what did the police do? Did they arrest the thugs who robbed him? Did they chase down the criminals who stole his camera? No. They told him to leave. Told him the streets of an American city were off-limits to him. Think about that. Criminals are allowed to run free, but a law-abiding journalist gets told to get out.

This is not just about one man. This is about what’s happening across our nation. The rule of law is being replaced by mob rule. And the media—those who are supposed to hold power accountable—are instead covering it all up. Why? Because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Because telling the truth might help shine a spotlight on the failures of Democrat-run cities and their radical policies.

Governor Walz and Mayor Frey have failed their people. They have allowed their streets to become unsafe. They have turned their backs on the very citizens they swore to protect. And now, they want to silence anyone who exposes it.

But here’s the good news: the American people aren’t buying it. Thanks to brave independent voices like Nick Sortor, the truth is getting out. And more and more Americans are waking up to the reality that we must take our cities—and our country—back.

This is not just about Minneapolis. This is about every city where crime is allowed to fester and where political leaders care more about their image than their people. This is about every time someone is silenced for telling the truth. And this is about every American who still believes in law and order, in free speech, and in the Constitution.

We cannot allow our cities to become lawless jungles. We cannot allow corrupt politicians and cowardly media to whitewash the truth. And we certainly cannot allow innocent Americans—journalists, residents, anyone—to be told that they don’t have a right to be on their own streets.

It’s time to stand up. It’s time to demand accountability. It’s time to restore law and order. We must support the brave voices who are willing to speak the truth, even when the cost is high. Because if we don’t, we’ll lose not just our cities, but the very freedoms that make this nation great.

We are not on our own. We are We the People. And we will take our country back.
